![]() ![]() Upon returning to New York in 1998, Edward Lee opened his own restaurant at the age of 25. Chef Frank Crispo trained Edward Lee on his strong work ethic and how to open restaurants. ![]() He spent over a year traveling through Asia cooking the kitchens of France and Belgium so that to gain experience on how to manage restaurants. In 1997, Edward Lee became a full-time writer after working for over 15 years as the night manager for a security company in Annapolis, Maryland. Much of his time Edward Lee spent in New York and he ideally believes that the time he spent in the urban areas played a key role in opening his eyes at an early age to the challenges as well as rewards of the restaurant business. He is well known as a chef along with restaurateur at present based in Louisville, Kentucky. Lee attended the University of Maryland as English major but quit in his last semester to pursue his dream of being a horror novelist. He is an American novelist specializing in the field of horror and he has written 40 books. The couple welcomed a baby girl, Arden, in 2013. ![]() Lee is married to Kentucky native Dianne Lee.
